NARRATIVE
The exhibition explores the concept of Paragone – a concept popularised by Leonardo da Vinci that sparked vigorous debates in Renaissance Italy concerning the superiority of painting or sculpture. Drawn from American museums and international private collections, Grey Matters presents a focused selection of artworks produced between late-15th century and early 16th century in a range of mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, stained-glass and Limoges enamel.
